Great shot dude, I love the emotion it captures. Perfect framing.

i have been spontaneously excited by your joining of simple emotions and vintage photography guise.

magnifico....

Thank you :). It's amazing that i got that shot, i find it difficult to get a perfect position and whatnot to set up for shotting kids her age, they are quite spontaneous!

I think what's best about this is the reaction it gives - after several re-visits to this deviation, I still cannot look at it without smiling - excellent work!

I concur with the other posts - your timing in capturing this moment was superb. :-) The shallow depth of field really helps focus all attention on this laughing/yelling little girl (which is rather ironic, since she's trying to do exactly the same thing). :-) You get down to her level with your low angle and place her nicely off-center. I think the high grain adds an aging charm to this photo - if the little girl was ever to look back at this picture in 10-20 years, she would really place this in a past period of time. :-)

I also happen to like this portrait because it was shot with an AE-1, which is the same camera I use for my B/W photos. :-)

Great, heartwarming photo.

Thanks so shutterarcade. I feel proud of this picture for a number of reasons. I was new to my dads AE-1, and was expirimenting with the depth of field, and I think with this picture i established my liking for shallow depth of fields. Also, if i were to think back at the time of the picture, i could never remember the exact point at which she was yelling like that. I was amazed that i captured that specific moment. It made it even more exciting to watch my photo develop, because i had a spontaneously excited and yelling baby in front of me. Anyway, you brought up a great point. I should save this picture so she can look back on it when she's older, she'd get a kick out of it :).
Thanks again

:faint: This is so beautiful! in a very spontaneous way, of course. Lol, this is a perfect shot of a child, you captured the very right moment, which is very hard to do (trust me, I've tried and tried lol) So I applaude you ( ) for the great capture, and using B& W, which is my favorite :) :+fav: for sure

Thank you so much guys. I value your comments and respect your appreciation of this photo. I felt pationate of this photo ever since I first saw it develop. The moment was just so perfect. Its amazing. As someone suggested to me earlier, it would be a great photo to show to this girl a few years down the road.
Thanks again.
